HUGO RAFAEL CHÁVEZ FRÍAS, President of Venezuela, said that the night before, he had attended a screening of Oliver Stones new movie, South of the Border, in which Bolivias President Evo Morales was shown chewing coca leaves and saying, Coke is not the same as coca. Other Presidents of Latin America had been shown in various contexts, and the movie even captured United States President Barack Obama in Trinidad, chatting with a group of us, his hand held out, his face smiling. He mentioned the film because it could help decipher several enigmas of the times, chief among them the ideological warfare currently under way. Indeed, a geopolitical revolution was under way — a moral, spiritual, comprehensive and necessary revolution, he said. After centuries during which millions of people in Latin America and the Caribbean had suffered, the world had come to this moment. The revolution marked the beginning of a world renewed and it would only grow with the passing of time. As a result of that revolution, the twenty-first century would be the century of socialism. Even Albert Einstein had concluded that the only way for the human species to live on the planet was through socialism. Capitalism was actually a road to ruin, not allowing for change. By contrast, the socialism of South America, which was Indian-American as well as Bolivarian, was a heroic system that had to be made anew. Noting that former United States President John F. Kennedy had, just days before his …

@weenerwallet Well I live in Colombia and if you ask to any one, we all want to get the fuck out of here ASAP. Uribe left us in deep shit just because he tried to please your daddy G. W. Bush. I won’t lecture you for free, little bugger, do your own research. US is a great nation, we all know that. You can try switching citizenship with any colombian any time. You will be the only one living in Colombia. You and Uribe.
@TheRichestCadavero God. now how the fuck could I live there in the first place WANKER??!! I’m not Colombian you STUPID inbred cunt!
I would If I could transfer there and get a Job. That country is Amazing. I travel there every year and its defenitely more stuff to do there then ANYWHERE i’ve ever been to. Their president is great. Uribe is keen to maintain good relationships with the U.S. its better to be a part aliance to one of the worlds greatest powers that IS the U.S. than vice versa.
@weenerwallet
If Colombia is “more livable” why don’t you come back and live here. Uribe IS an ignorant scumbag, everyone knows that He just wanted to please US to any cost.
Does it make him an “example of what a leader should be”? I don’t think so.
Uribe is a great President. He basically is the Reason Colombia is more livable and more peaceful then it was back in the 80′s. He has stabalized the country and pretty much beat the crap out of las farc so much that Las farc currently has lost much power and the drug trade has resigned down to number two. South Africa is now the Largest drug trade in the World.
Now people can actually travel to Colombia with out fear.
Uribe is probably the Best Example of whut a leader should be.
@poonwheels I’m glad Santos won
Obama looks nervous. thank God he didn’t ask..”I didn’t know you had white people!!”
like Bush said when he visited Colombia except Bush said, ” You have black people too??” haha…he says “uhh” so many times.
President Uribe is a Wonderful leader..hopefully Obama can learn a bit from this one.
I love South American culture!!
