The war on drugs is a failure because we are not fighting it like a war. In short the war is a failure because it was never really a war…just political rhetoric.

Why are people so ignorant and blind to the “War on Drugs”?

Question: Why are people so ignorant and blind to the “War on Drugs”?
People assume that all perscription drugs are good for you but anything illegal must automaticly be bad and you should be locked up right away for it. Oh, and of course if your doing illegal drugs you do it because your addicted and you do them because its a crutch because you cant handle real life. Are you kidding me? Who are you to tell me why I do things, i despise these sterotypical generic bull spit awnsers. Im a 22 year old a year out of the military. I work all day, im a 100% independent, pay my bills, love reading books about philosophy and enjoy smoking weed at the end of the day before doing so. I am extremely spiritual. And about once every 6 months I enjoy eating “magic mushrooms” and meditating and just really reflecting and digging deep inside myself. I find the experience extremely spiritual, it shows me how insignificant things are that we play out to be these huge and important things in our day to day lives. And it shows me what the true important things are, love, family, relationships, being “self”. Seperating ego from self. It is appauling to me this “drug” and others such as dmt and lsd are illegal when hey have sooo much to offer in a spiritual sense. And when people find out about my activites they automaticly look down on me and when confronted with truth do nothing but deny deny deny. Are anti-depressents any better? Are ADD and ADHD drugs any better. Ive taken both of these in my youth and they have done absolutely nothing for me but harm. Then years down the road i take a dose of shrooms and completeley loose any sense of depression and anxiety i used to have. And my life is more beautifull than i could have ever hoped, filled with love, forgiveness, compassion. Do not be confused i do not get these emotions just because im continously “high” I havent smoked weed in acouple weeks (see its not addictive). Its from the realizations i get when “tripping” on shrooms. Gives me a certain perspective. You show me a drug from your doctor that can do that. Fact is these things are illegal becaus its bad for consumerism (yes i know my spelling his horrindus) and shows you you dont have to buy buy buy to be happy, happyness is there. Just waiting for you to be aware of it. So..Should I be locked up?…What are you views?…Should drugs be legalized…? Im interested in what any of you have to say, namaste.
Also. I am a male. Not a female lol

Because people are ignorant. They think if a drug such as meth is bad, then that automatically make all of them equally as bad.

Why aren’t people in an outrage over all this tax money for the bogus “War on drugs”?

Question: Why aren’t people in an outrage over all this tax money for the bogus “War on drugs”?
Especially the RepubliCons who are always talking about “tax dollars” any other time. Why aren’t they out there protesting over all of these *tax dollars* that’s really not stopping a thing? If there was REALLY a real *War on drugs*, the drugs would never ever *find* it’s way off the ships at the loading docks. * Illegal (and otherwise)Drugs* makes a LOT of $ $ $ for the crooks here in the Brooks Brother suits on Wall St. etc. And they’re not giving them up anytime soon. People might as well just face it.

Here’s the clock and the *Costs*.

Do most “war on drugs” people realize that they fundamentally agree with Obama on one key issue?

Question: Do most “war on drugs” people realize that they fundamentally agree with Obama on one key issue?
Many “conservatives” who are for the “war on drugs” don’t realize that they agree with Obama on maybe the most fundamental issue of all, who owns your body. Everything starts from there, freedom does and tyranny does. Freedom says that you own your body and you can do with it what you will as long as you don’t hurt anyone else. Tyranny says that some people know what is best for you and you are too stupid to make your own decisions so the government is going to make laws to dictate how you live your personal life, even if no one else is harmed by your actions.
“War on drugs” people and Obama agree that the state should have the power to dictate what you can do with your body. This is pretty clear.

I can already hear the “war on drugs” people, but…but, drugs destroy families and hurt children. Alcohol does, divorce does, and these things hurt families and children more than all of the “illegal” drugs combined. Do you guys want to ban alcohol and divorce?
This tactic is just a way to change the direction of the argument, there are already laws against hurting children and there are laws against slavery, so no one can legally be held in a bad relationship. We are talking about people who just want to seek their own pleasures in their private lives and hurt no one, but themselves potentially, in the process.
By the way, this is coming from someone who does not smoke or drink or use any drug of any kind. I am personally against all of them, but I do believe in freedom and I know that the power of the state is far more destructive than any drug that could ever be grown or created.
To all, I am against socialized medicine. People should totally pay for their own stupidity. No one has a “right” to emergency care or any care at all.

If kids buy drugs, their parents should really take it to their butts, that is what we need though, parents taking charge, not legislators. People, not government.
