A - From the pain felt for the innocent lives that are annihilated every day by violence and diverse forms of injustice, we come to you, our Lord.
B - And we hope that your mercy may be with your sons and daughters, especially there where the merchants of death daily sow their seeds of horror.
A - Clamamos por las víctimas de los terrorismos, los más evidentes y los más sutiles, que desconocen el valor de la vida que Tu nos regalaste.
B - Rogamos por aquellas personas cuyo horizonte se ha ensombrecido como consecuencia de estos actos violentos, que te desconocen como creador y sustentador de la vida.
A - We pray that peace and justice may embrace and kiss each other at once, putting an end to so many barbaric acts and so much senseless pain.
B - From the depths of our incomprehension, we can only have hope in you, oh God, trusting and believing that in the end life will overcome death, love will overcome hate, peace will overcome violence, understanding will overcome intolerance.
A - From the depths of incomprension, we cry out to you, oh God.
B - With our eyes upon the signs of hate and intolerance, we seek your face, Lord.
A - Desde el dolor por las vidas inocentes que cada día son aniquiladas por la violencia y la injusticia en sus diversas formas, venimos a ti, nuestro Señor.
B - Y esperamos que tu misericordia sea con tus hijos y con tus hijas, especialmente allí donde los mercaderes de la muerte siembran su cotidiana semilla de horror.
A - We cry out for the victims of terrorist acts, both evident ones and subtle ones, that deny the value of the life you gave us.
B - We plead for those people whose horizon has filled with shadows as a result of violent acts, those who do not recognize you as the creator and sustainer of life.
A - Oramos para que la paz y la justicia se abracen y se besen de una vez, poniendo fin a tanta barbarie y a tanto dolor sin sentido.
B - Desde lo profundo de nuestra incomprensión sólo podemos esperar
en ti, oh Dios, confiando y creyendo que, finalmente,
la vida podrá más que la muerte
el amor más que el odio,
la paz más que la violencia,
la comprensión más que la intolerancia.
A - Conmovidos por el absurdo, seguimos esperando que amanezca
