CHAN: Two Colombians have quit the FARC militant organization this week. And they brought a special delivery with them. Here’s more on the story. STORY: Facing the cameras – two FARC deserters are presented to the Colombian press. Sitting alongside them are two hostages who escaped with the Marxist guerrillas: one a businessman the other a 14-year-old boy. They were kidnapped for ransom late last year. The young defectors can expect to be rewarded under a government scheme which is aimed at encouraging rebels to desert by offering them cash rewards and asylum in France. ["Eduardo", FARC Defector]: “I am very happy to be free with my friend (referring to the second rebel who defected) and the hostages. I am against kidnapping. I never liked it. I can’t understand that a group that says it fights for the revolution could kidnap children and keep them in the jungle.” Desertions and the death of top leaders have severely weakened the once powerful Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The group still holds dozens of high-profile hostages and hundreds of other captives in a string of jungle camps. Last month, the FARC announced it was going to release a group of hostages including two politicians, Alan Jara and Sigifredo Lopez. Both men have spent more than six years in captivity. But the hostage handover is being delayed by wrangling over who should be present at the release.
long live the FARC!

People who do not know about what’s going on in Colombia should abstain from defending FARC. I know there is some idealistic motivation behind supporting FARC, but they need to understand FARC time is done, they no longer fight for the Colombian people and have become a terrorist organization.
them Fucking Snitches people are not understanding the purpose of the FARC
@Guevaristas aggravated homicide, terrorism, drug traffic conspiracy, aggravated kidnapping, distribution and drug trafficking, killing of army members.
Now, Colombian courts do count, right?
Look up on You Tube “Las Niñas de las FARC”, TESTIMONY by underage girls former FARC guerrilleras of what FARC did to them.
Also look up on You Tube “FARC kill 11 hostages”.
There’s so much evidence…I truly hope you do look it up and wake up.
@Guevaristas Güeva, here, look up the following names.
Ignacio Garces Gruesso
Henry Castellanos aka “Romaña”
Helí Mejia Mendoza aka “Martin Sombra”
Enrique Rodriguez Mendieta, aka “Ivan Vargas”
Jairo Alfonso Lesmes
Gerardo Aguilar Ramirez
Rigoberto Antonio Higuita
Leyer García Murillo aka ‘Juvenal’
These are the names just from the first 2 pages on google once you look up “FARC CONDENADOS”, CONVICTED not just in the USA but also in Colombia.
They were CONVICTED of the following crimes:
@Guevaristas You know nothing about this situation. Period. You only hide in your bs rethoric that nothing has been proved, because you are not informed, there’s plenty of evidence but you are so deluded you will not believe the truth even if they hit you in the face with it.
@Guevaristas hold ideals that are outdated good only for the Colombia of several decades ago. Right? The ends justify the means, right?
In reality the burden of proof has always lied on you, as most people in the world see them as what they really are: TERRORISTS.
It is sad you don’t know sh*t about FARC or the internal Colombian situation but what’s even sadder is that you PREFER not to see this group for what they really are.
You truly are a Güeva.
@ColombianLlave
do not try to use emotive language and make assumptions.
‘…different crimes committed by FARC, even as they’re extensively documented by different sources.’
Do you not know what a conviction is? Find FARC meners who have been convicted in a court of law. Your emotive rants proove nothing whatsoever
@Guevaristas *sigh* as expected, no rebuttal to any points about the different crimes committed by FARC, even as they’re extensively documented by different sources. It doesn’t help that even former guerrilla members confirm their criminality, it does not matter underage children are forced to join their ranks. It doesn’t matter their human rights violations, right? No matter about their rape or that they ask ransom from families of regular civilians, right? So long as they
@ColombianLlave
it’s not an impartial source, have looked at their material before.
A list of alleged atrocities??
No, what you were asked to provide was convictions. But there’s another more vexing issue: would a guerrilla figher recieve a fair trial in the U$A or any western nation? Arguably never, as the USA initiated Plan Colombia (Clinton)
@Guevaristas
Go to the Human Rights Watch website and look up FARC, it will give you a list of some of the atrocities these criminals have committed.
@Guevaristas these underage teenagers, deliberate involvement in the drug trade, deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people over the years, and you still do not think they’re criminals?
There’s a saying in Spanish “No hay peor ciego que el que no quiere ver” and I think that one applies perfectly to you right now.
@Guevaristas And the worst thing of it all is that you try to keep talking about this subject without really knowing about it.
I already brought you a piece of evidence of a convicted FARC leader for conspiracy of drug trafficking and you still manage to say that nothing has been proven in the court of law.
Counts of survivors, international, Colombian, from the liberal party, from other parties, accounts of cruel punishment, recruitment of underage children, 40-50 yr olds having sex with
